UPDATED: 12:39 pm EDT July 22, 2008

A Louisville mother charged with leaving her child alone in a parked car for several hours was back in court Tuesday.

Police said 20-year-old Amanda Lindsey was drunk when she called them from Bardstown Road earlier this year.

Officers eventually found the car and the child in Shively.

The child wasn't hurt and is currently being cared for by relatives.

Lindsey is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and third-degree assault.

All other charges against her were dismissed.

She's due back in court next month.
