Police Arrest Four In Prostitution Sting

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. -- Indiana State Police said they have broken up a prostitution ring that advertised its services on the Internet.

Authorities said they focused on services advertised on craigslist.org as "exotic services."

Investigators said the alleged prostitutes were contacted by a telephone number that they provided on the Web site. After phone contact was made, arrangements to meet the prostitutes would be made. Police said most of the prostitutes were charging $175 to $250 per hour.

On Thursday, detectives from the Indiana State Police visited craigslist.org and made arrangements for four alleged prostitutes to meet them at an undisclosed location in the Jeffersonville area.

One arrest netted a man dressed as a female.

Arrested were Albert A. Carter Jr, 26, of Decatur, Ga.; Krystle D. Haga, 22, of Tacoma, Wash.; Brittany O. Shelton, 20, of Louisville; and Trista S. Stevenson, 19, of Louisville.

All four were charged with prostitution and Shelton and Stevenson also were charged with consumption by a minor.
