Police: Woman Loses Car With Baby Inside

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Metro Police arrested a mother who left her baby inside a car for several hours.According to police, 20-year-old Amanda Lindsey was drunk when she called them on Bardstown Road early Thursday morning.She reportedly told officers she forgot where her car was, and her baby was still inside.
About three hours later, police in Shively found the baby and the car at Louisville Memorial Gardens, about 10 miles from where she was."Fortunately, the child was found in a vehicle in a cemetery, in the Shively area," said Metro Police Detective Phil Russell. "It was determined after the child was checked out it had been there for three hours. She was OK."Lindsey is charged with wanton endangerment, abandonment of a minor, endangering the welfare of a minor, alcohol intoxication and assault for alleged altercations with two officers.Police said she doesn't remember how she got from Shively to Bardstown Road.Her first court appearance is set for Tuesday.
