LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- There are only two days until Thunder Over Louisville, and air crews and others are trying to make it to town for this Saturday's show.
Watch The StoryUnfortunately, severe storms could also be headed our way, creating a headache for show producers, but it's nothing they haven't dealt with before.
Everyone in the Thunder command center has one eye on their given task and the other on the weather radar -- especially those responsible for the air show, where timing and safety are everything. Some 93 aircraft are due to fly through the air box Saturday afternoon and evening, but the coming cold front and the associated storms are causing a bit of havoc with the schedule for arrivals and potentially practice Friday afternoon."We're going to catch it here. We know that. I mean, it's too big to go around us, so I know all the crews are buttoning up in anticipation for tonight," said Thunder producer Wayne Hettinger. "So the big thing we've got ahead of us is we've all been through this drill and I got seasoned people that know what they're doing. So we're going to get there and promise a big show."
