Professor Wrestling: 'No Surrender' Recap
Joe, Cage, Angle, Booker Tangle For Title In Toronto, Eh

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling left the country. Not for long, though -- just last night's pay-per-view entitled "No Surrender" -- as Samoa Joe put up his title in suburban Toronto. It's the first time TNA has ventured outside the U.S. for a big show.So what happened in the big matches? Let me put down this Molson and I'll tell you:Challenge Match: Lance Rock, Jimmy Rave and Christy Hemme vs. Curry Man, Shark Boy and Eric Young
What Should Happen: This is a comedy match, pitting "The Rock N' Rave Connection" versus "The Prince Justice Brotherhood." In short, wanna-be rock stars versus wanna-be super heroes. Sigh. Well, for my tastes, both of these acts are somewhat lame – but I do think Curry Man is a bit of a hoot. His team should win!
What Will Happen: Man, Boy and Young will prevail.
What Did Happen: Man, Boy and Young were the victors, as Man pinned Hemme.
Ladder Of Love Match: Jay Lethal vs. Sonjay Dutt
What Should Happen: In this classic, Lethal and Dutt will battle for an engagement ring held by SoCal Val. Whoever grabs it, wins the the girl -- who can’t decide between these two X-Division lummoxes. Who should win? Who would make a better husband? A man who thinks he's Randy Savage or his lovesick former friend? It’s a tossup, but I'll go with the guy who doesn’t think he's a Poffo.
What Will Happen: Why go through all this if Dutt doesn’t win?
What Did Happen: Dutt won, and got the girl. Lucky guy. I think.
X-Division Title Match: Petey Williams (c) vs. Consequnces Creed vs. Sheik Abdul Bashir
What Should Happen: I think Creed should win for his great name alone. But this is Canada, where Mr. Williams grew up. There can be no other outcome than his triumph. TNA would be wise to give this match more than the standard 20 minutes.
What Will Happen: The great Petey Williams will retain.
What Did Happen: Bashir pinned Creed to become the new X-champ. Didn't see that one coming.
TNA Women’s Championship: Taylor Wilde (c) vs. Angelina Love
What Should Happen: It's Blonde on Blonde, but with no Bob Dylan in sight. The times aren’t a changin', though, because Wilde, the Canadian babyface, should defeat her Canadian heel opponent. Something tells me Canadian Gail Kim will get mixed up in this. What Will Happen: Wilde will keep her Knockout title.
What Did Happen: Wilde pinned Love to keep her belt.
TNA World Championship Match: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Kurt Angle vs. Christian Cage vs. Booker T
What Should Happen: It's going to come down to Christian, the Canadian, almost winning -- which isn’t a bad angle for this match. Gotta keep the fans happy. I'd have Joe retain, but if he doesn't, then Cage is my pick for the belt in this situation. Look for either Sting, Jeff Jarrett and/or new TNA employee Mick Foley to make an appearance in the main event.
What Will Happen: Samoa Joe retains, but Christian gets very close to winning his title back.
What Did Happen: Booker T didn't show because of Hurricane Ike. Anyway, Sting interfered early, Jarrett interfered late -- and Samoa Joe retained. Man, I'm good.
That's it. For the night, I got four right and just one wrong in the big TNA matches. Another reason why I'm me and you're you. Next week: the return of the "Old School, New School" podcast -- and your letters! (I'm waaaay behind.) (If you have a beef or a question, toss me an e-mail to the address below.)Time to scram, kids, because class is … dismissed!(Professor Wrestling is a masked employee of Internet Broadcasting, hailing from Parts Unknown.
